Today is the day! Essie pins on her third stripe we are now both SrA Spargur and are testing for staff in May. Bring on the extra $80. She has to be the hardest working, smartest, persevering woman alive (she lives with me.) We are coming up on 2 years and I could not be happier. It can be hard but we really are lucky to have all that we have and are able to do what we do and having good jobs and careers is one more thing to be thankful for.

The clock is tickin' and it is almost time to get out of here. I cannot wait to see my beautiful wife, and dog.

Airman of the year!

A certain amazing husband of mine just received an award for airman of the year. I am so proud of him. Out of all the airmen nominated, he certainly deserved it the most. There is not another airman in the hospital that shows more initiative or diligence. The amazing thing is, for every one thing Brad is recognized for, there are five that go unnoticed. He is humble; he refuses to talk about his achievements, he never wants to appear boastful or pompous. So I guess thats my job lol...

Just a FEW of this years accomplishments (because I know I will forget some things):

Received a quarterly award
Was awarded below the zone, a 6 month early once in a career opportunity, only given to the AFs top 15%
Completed his CCAF degree... within the first 2 years in service
Scored 90s on both sets of CDCs
Served as Elmendorf's Vice President of "The Rising 6"
Not to mention hours of community service NOT ordered by a judge...

Oh and did I mention he's still in school full time? Working on that BA, majoring in biology, everyday closer to achieving his goals of becoming a doctor.

And yet somehow, he still finds the time to be an absolute fantabulous husband...

He's brilliant. He's confident. Always a gentleman. He's goofy, kind and considerate, he doesn't take himself too seriously and always shares his french fries ;) He makes me laugh harder than anyone I know. He is patient with me. He just gets me. I can honestly say, without a doubt, I love being his wife.
