Hike

One cold morning in February, three friends decided to hike Potters Creek Trail. This is where we started from. It looks depressing right? Yeah the sun wasn't out much at first, but don't worry we warmed up...

The trail starting out...

My nonhuman baby, Denali...

Me and my Bestie!!!!!

Haha, she wanted to get up with me sooo bad...

Black and Barton wanted to borrow Nali for this shot, and I will admit, its not the best picture. But look closely, she's chokin the crap out of my dog, her tongue is sticking out!!!!

They almost look like a family...

Me and my Denali!
Halfway up.

Oh this is funny, we're walking around this cliff, and there's a little baby fence there. I laughed at it, then spent like 4 minutes trying to figure out what it's for. Finally Barton tells me it's to prevent possible rockslides. Lol, I guess I forgot about the road waaaaay down at the bottom of the mountain. I can be such a ditz somwtimes, I need my Eagle Scout hubby to be outdoorsy for the both of us.

I'm a tree hugger at heart.

Here is where the entire trail turns into ice. Somebody definitely fell on her butt here. Not saying who... *cough..me..cough*

Black thought she'd be funny and put a leash on me...

Some poor kid lost his hat, so I tried it on Nali.

Oh my gosh!!! Frozen waterfall!!!!

The view from the top.

We forgot the road was 100 percent ice, which was fine walking up, but impossible to walk down. This is me and Barton sliding down the steep road.

You know how every time you nearly fall, but catch yourself, you get that mini heart attack, and your brain screams "oh snap this is gonna hurt!" Well I definitely had that a billion times during our icy hike. I only fell once, but still... it's exhausting just feeling like you're going to fall over and over again. So, I buttscooched the last 400 meters to the car.

Also, note the walking stick in Nali's mouth. She literally begged for it all the way up and back down the mountain. I finally rewarded her patience once I didn't need it anymore.

Me and my bestie again.
The end.
